Yeah, all of that flexibility stuff can be really valuable, for good football players who are smart. 

Part of my "Best 3/Best 2" post was dumb.  Yes, "best-3" for SSSl might include using Bullard and/or Williams at slot. Next-man-up for Nixon, or perhaps competition to just beat him out.  But considering a safety for slot doesn't preclude considering outside CB too.  As you mentioned, Refugee, King might find a niche at slot somewhere down the road.  And in the hypothetical dream world where Jaire, Valentine, and Stokes are all three healthy and playing well at the same time, perhaps the one who isn't playing outside CB might compete for some usage at slot.  

I'm a huge optimist that however it shakes out, it will be way better than last year; or the MacMillan/Jennings year; or when Chandon Sullivan played most snaps; or when Josh Jackson and Redmond were each >30%-snaps guys.
