Raider Training Camp 2024

Recommended Posts

was at practice today. Didnt do very much was only 1:30. My observations fwiw:

AOC is more accurate, we knew this.

Maxx is the heart and soul everyone feeds off his energy. TFL on first play of team, run away from him lol. Just a dynamite player.

Bowers is WR quick, very explosive TE, caught everything.

There was a lot of two TE sets, to be expected.

Jakobi Meyers looks great.

Zeus looks like a stud, also love him in #3.

1st team DL was Maxx, Wilkins, Butler, Koonce

Hobbs is very high energy and played to the crowd. Looked good with the ball in his hands, but muffed two punts.

Tucker looked good.

Wilson looked to be using his hands a lot more.

Was mostly individual and STs. Very little team, but Mayer and Bowers caught the majority of balls in 11 on 11

Yessir, appreciate the scouting for sure. Read that vic quote.....after I read both qbs looked sharp and both threw tds. Lol.  So you saying it also makes me laugh and smh. Lots of preseason still to go.👍😎

Don’t like contrarian people at the best of times. But contrarian journos are ridiculous and a contradiction in terms. Indictment of our times I guess…

Sucks just how poor Raiders journos are. Either total homers or total hacks.. And really poor writers too.

My other sports teams have excellent journos, podcasters etc. Insightful, witty, detailed and offering depth. These guys offer nothing but the surface level basics and their own, often petty takes.

Crosby will traumatize an OT for one series and then sit on the bench for the remainder.  I expect Adams to sit after he breaks a couple ankles on a quick out route.

I completely expect them to play, but only for as long as it takes for them to get into the rhythm of dominating the opposing player in front of them.

Was just reading how Pierce is going to have Crosby going full time, full speed to push Munford’s development.

coincidentally, Munford is the guy I’m most interested in seeing progress this offseason. That RT spot has been such a black eye for this team for ages.  Having it finally settled would be huge for both Zeus and whomever is at QB (but especially AOC).

damn i was there as well dude!
very similar thoughts,

id add,
Jack Jones is so quick in the movement drills, makes every other DB look stiff.
Bowers seems like a WR the way he moves, Mayer is our typical TE who looked good.
Hobbs muffed punts, day 1, but ill be nervous all year if he is returner.
Dylan Laube looked quick footed, saw him make 1 nice over the shoulder catch.

AJ Cole seemed to do a ton of directional punted which i love, feel like the coffin corner is out of the league.
being a kicker in camp is incredible, think Carlson just hung out most of the day lol.

our D seems to be an incredibly tight group. They will feed off, and play for each other.
AOC seemed a bit more confident as well. But no pads so really not much

also probably nothing, but i found it weird that in positional drills it seemed to go by depth chart:
so WR drills it was Adams, Meyer than Tucker
DL itd be Maxx than Wilkins

RB Ameer Abdulluh was going first.

Probably nothing, just found it strange.
