Tell that to the Chiefs.

One team has arguably/potentially the best QB of all time and the other one doesn't. The Chiefs are in an entirely different class. They're in the middle of a dynasty. Way different conversation.

And I would argue the 49ers have a better roster than the Chiefs.

They probably do. For the record I don't think either team returns this particular season. History is too highly stacked against both teams.

They do, we do, heck probably a couple teams do.

But the Chiefs have Patty and Andy, which is just far beyond Shanny and Purdy.

The best Team doesn't always win the SB. If it did ,2022 would of been the Eagles 2nd ring.

Unfortunately we ran into yet again another Generational Type QB like we did in 2004.

Happens 🤷‍♂️

Of course he was getting extended. Some people in here and in Gen/News were "celebrating" prematurely a few months back.

It’s called Manifesting

Take it as a trade from our 2017 team, that wasn't the most talented nor the best that last game.

Third.

The 1980 Eagles were better than the Raiders.

How do you figure that? The Patriots obviously had Brady but as far as Teams, they were both as evenly matched as you can get.

Eagles were 3rd in Offense 457pts (28.6/g) 4th in Defense 295pts (18.4/g)

Patriots were 2nd in Offense 458pts (28.6/g) 5th in defense 296pts (18.5/g)

Literally 1pt separating both sides of the ball. Those numbers also dropped after the Wentz injury specifically (wk16 Oak, wk 17 Dal). We were the #1 Offense in the league going into that Rams game.

There's absolutely a argument to be made the Eagles "Team" was better then the Patriots overall. We just didn't have Tom Brady.

What do we thinks gonna happen cuz of the wildfires? What would be the last day/chance to change venue? what would the venue change to? Would we get a home game since the Stadium is tech open? or would it be a new int'l venue?

If changed to home how would it work? Season ticket holders vs people who bought watch party tickets?

If you're making an argument that the Eagles team were better than the Patriots, there's definitely an argument to me made that the Chiefs were better than the Eagles.

After all, the Eagles were underdogs on both Super Bowls, but way bigger underdogs in 17. No one's saying that either of the winning teams didn't belong on the field. But how can we be the better team on both instances and yet be underdogs?

So, if you're thinking that "the better team lost" in 2022, you can at least take solace that "the better team lost" in 2017, according to your initial post.

Becuase in both instances, the Eagles were going against what many believe to be the Best QB of that generation.

Back up QB and 2nd year HC beating the 5X SB Champion at that time Tom Brady and Bill Belicheck? Who would of thought?

Hurts and a 2nd year HC beating the team who's participated in 3 out of the 4 SB at that time led by SB Champion and 2022 league MVP Pat Mahomes and Andy Reid?

Chiefs could end up being the #7 seed this year, go on a playoff run, make the SB and still be the Favorite no matter who they faced in that game. Pedigree.

I don't believe the Patriots were better in 2017, which is my original point. They just had the better QB/HC that unfortunately ran into BDN/Destiny.

Still there's argument to be made that they were the better team

Brady to Foles

Gronk to Ertz

Gilmore to Mills

BB to Pederson

Either way in both instances both teams were very close stat wise, and as that there's argument to be made for both KC and NE. If you believe the Eagles were better in 2022 than the Chiefs the same can be said from 2017. In one we got bounces in our favor while we didn't in the other one. The Eagles were big underdogs in 2017 for good reason and that's what makes it sweeter.
