You don't pay a backup Safety that kind of money regardless. They will try to move him and if they can't he will eventually be released. As if last years debacle wasn't enough, if you think Sirianni and Howie aren't taking the opinions of both Kellen and Vic into consideration, who's fooling who? Howie controls the cap and tells them what's feasible within it and what's not. Make your decesions based off that? Sirianni and his coaching staff have more pull then you think and decide who is staying who should go!. Yes Howie has the final say but it's in conjunction as to what "they as a Staff" believe is the right fit for the 2024 season.
