UKTexans
WBC are absolute con artists. How many more eliminators does Whyte need? Even if he beat Ortiz they'd probably line up Breazeale as the next "eliminator" then probably some other bum.
J-ALL-DAY
Whyte passed his WBC shot once he chose not to fight Ortiz. He got passed over. Whyte is now targeting the WBA mandatory spot. But he has to wait until Charr and Oquendo face off.

Neither should have been the mandatory. Breazeale becoming the mandatory after beating Molina makes little sense. Should have fought each other for the spot to become the mandatory or fought Ortiz for the spot.

How does Ortiz get another shot after being KO'd? Whyte holds two lesser belts now, Breazeale isn't in that league.
UKTexans
I mean the WBC are lining up Breazeale, Stiverne and Molina ahead of Whyte.

Or they have beforehand? Stiverne got his mando shot because Povetkin failed his drug test in the final eliminator. Breazeale has a solid win over Ugonoh, and I guess a decent win over Molina, but that shouldn't get you the mandatory shot. As for Whyte, before Parker what exactly did he do to deserve the mandatory shot? Win over Helenius? Fat, out of shape Browne who was coming off a PED suspension? And Ortiz getting KOd means what? He got KOd by Wilder. Ortiz wasn't just going to be handed the mandatory spot, he would have had to earned it by beating Whyte. Like I said, they should have just had Breazeale fight Whyte and winner becomes the mandatory. Now it won't matter as Wilder likely faces off against Fury in November. It is a massive fight where both fighters will make huge money. Also for the lineal HW title and the winner gets more negotiation power vs Joshua. Lets see how Fury looks later this month. Getting closer and closer to the shape he was when he was the top HW in the world. 59 minutes ago, UKTexans said: I don't understand it though. After defeat why do you go straight back into the eliminator? But he didn't go straight to the eliminator. He went to being ranked 4th in the WBC. Did you want him after having a very competitive fight to fall all the way out of the top 10? Ortiz was the 4th in the WBC and because Povetkin who is #3 chose to go the WBA route, Ortiz was the next man up. The bigger problem is not calling for Breazeale vs Whyte. That is your #1 and #2 ranked fighters in the WBC.

And if he fights in November he will pretty much be in the gym for like 16 weeks in a 20 week stretch. Let's see how he looks in two weeks. As in he's ranked 13th amongst German heavyweights. Shannon Briggs would put up more of a fight.
