Can we trade TT for Schneider....Seattle would go for that right?

Yeah .. that is the next step probably .. if Murphy wants to persue it.  Murphy also has the option to petition the league over Schneider's current gig having less authority than what the Packers job provides.   Schneider has a little less roster control in Seattle.  The Packers job could be considered a promotion.  We'd probably have to give up a 3rd round pick to get him .. I'd do it.

Pretty BS Seattle blocked the Schneider interview, but I guess that's business.

LOL at the insecurities from teams not even allowing us to interview their assistant GMs though

Well Minnesota can only block Paton until their season is done. They are just banking on them still winning and the Packers getting impatient.

But if they weren’t in the playoff by NFL rules they couldnt block... Paton could however turn the interview down.

^Yea I doubt he'd turn down the chance at getting a GM job though. Even with issues like moving family, GB isn't that far from Minneapolis.

DeCosta is probably my preferred external candidate (other than Schneider), but we'll see if we can get him to leave.

Idk why people are so hung up on Schneider.

He is a super bowl winning GM? And is a yard away from being a 2x winning SB GM?

He has experience as a GM and has been successful at it... where as the 3 in house candidates have not.

Also the guy has stated that GM of the Packers is his dream job. What’s not to like?

The fact that he can't build an offensive line to save his life? How about offensive skill positions? Really hasn't provided any defensive depth. They missed the playoffs with their QB being healthy for 16 games. This would be a major downgrade.

Many we let him pick the defenses and let Gut, Wolf or TT pick the offense.

Again... chicken or the egg. Is it the bad players or bad offensive staff there? Similar to Green Bay’s defense here. Plus similar to Green Bay every time they get a guy... they get injuried on the oline.

Also people are going to have misses, can’t hit on everything. Plus Wilson isn’t Aaron Rodgers soooo a healthy Wilson doesn’t mean guaranteed playoffs and the way Carroll runs his team makes that situation a bomb waiting to explode at any sign of trouble.
