They interview him, his wife, any remaining members of the staff, and any other employee who is a mandated reporter, and cross reference it with their records. And everything they get, writers can get with FOIA requests as long as it's a noteworthy story (read: as long as Urban's employed). This is going to be a never ending **** mudslide. If OSU is smart, they wade 2 feet into this, realize how bad it smells, and cut ties. If Urban is smart, which he is, he realizes his leverage here is a quiet resignation where he still gets paid and his wife doesn't get in any trouble. If Urban/Shelley funneled this up to Gene Smith and he did nothing, then it's his *** in the jackpot. But do we really think an AD is going to cover up something like this when the head coach offers up his assistant on the chopping block? Realistically, this ended with Urban. The only out I see them potentially having is since there were never formal charges they are going to ride that excuse. That’s the only thing I see. Would really be something if/when they replace someone who covered up/didn't report a domestic abuse with someone who allegedly covered up/didn't report pedophilia.
