Panthers re-sign Julius Peppers

Recommended Posts

Apparently his Panthers teammates have said he tells them stories about his time in 'Nam.

Somewhere, Charlie Casserly is justifying selecting David Carr over Peppers in 2002.

I'm sure it makes sense to someone.

This will be his 17th season.. and he's appeared in all games except 6 (and 4 were in his rookie year). That's pretty amazing for a 6'7" defensive end.

He has 154.5 sacks, including 10 seasons where he had double-digit sacks.

Is that guy gonna retire someday or just be around until the end of time?

Always putting in 50% effort makes your career last twice as long

So he should be a 300 sack guy by now if he actually tried? Man, what a waste!

He had a four game suspension for using Ephedra, didn't he?

(Remember Ephedra? Stuff would kill people, but man - Stacker 2 and Hydroxycut slimmed me DOWN back in the day).

I want this mans nutritionist.

Him and Cam Wake need to write a book about taking care of your body in a demanding environment. High school athletes around the country would benefit (normies too) since it's not being taught in school.

I suppose the argument would be "blah blah stat accumulator, blah blah never a multi-year dominant DE".

That was his rep when he left the Panthers, earlier in his career.
I didn't follow him during his Bears / GB days but from what I know, his Packer teammates loved him as a coach on the field.

His interviews nowadays are night and day different. He's truly, as one would respect, a different person.
