There seems to be two groups: Gastelum, Jacare and Weidman have all lost to contenders/lost their shot, and are kind of in limbo. Then there's Yoel, Costa and now Hermansson who are fighting for the next shot after Whittaker-Adesanya (I know Romero just lost two title shots as well, but I feel like he's still in the contender bracket, particularly if Adesanya wins). Seems like they want to make Yoel vs Costa, which I think everyone wants to see. But if one of them pulls out again, Hermansson you think would be right in line to step in. Cannonier and Shoe Face are both hanging around threatening to make some noise too. Cannonier could jump to the contender group if he beats Silva. While Shoe Face is set to face Ian Heinisch in a couple of weeks, which is a low-key great fight. He should be in line for a big fight if he wins that.
