Looking at my annual contributions, I've been putting in 15% the last 2 years and 7% my first year. I'm at 2% this year. Yikes.

Teachers do ok for working 8 months out of the year ? Yeah, pretty much, although I do teach 3-4 weeks of summer school (there goes June), and coach 2 sports, taking up about 60-65 hours a week (minimum). But seriously, non coach teachers have a pretty good gig, especially those in non-tested subjects/grades.

Basically, yes. But also don’t wait to contribute to your retirement plans. You’ll never actually catch up.
