pnies20
Derrick Johnson with one leg is probably more effective than Jamie Collins right now.

Well, Willis would be 33 now and Bowman had that injury and is past 30 himself. It's not that crazy in 2018.

It's not that crazy in 2018. I think what is actually crazy is how Bowman managed to get the 49ers to cut him in 2017. He earned $11 million in that year (despite being pretty poor), whilst the 49ers took a dead cap hit of $9 million in 2017 and $4.7 million this year to cut him during 2017. That is either a significant sign of respect to grant the wish of a player by the 49ers, a reflection on how poor he had become as a player, or the fact that the 49ers are spending so little of their cap that it doesn't matter (probably a combination of the 3). A name I recognize as somebody the Packers may want to look at to help us out at the position. He was drafted in 2016 - but doesnt have any stats till 2017. What happened? He get hurt in training camp? Is he living up to pre draft hype? I recall he was a banger - but perhaps not so hot in pass coverage. Cant get a better pedigree than training in Alabama. I think he tore up his knee in TC with the Bills his rookie year. Then they traded him to the Chiefs after he got healthy. That's off the top of my head, though. I might have some of the details wrong.
