So Rapoport uses the phrases "expected to have interest", only to be countered with this guy using the term "at this time".  The wonderful world of social media where you put something out there and really don t give any concrete information.

The entire premise was we're expected to think about it. 😂

I’d be kind of surprised if we don’t sign a RB in free agency. Two reasons. BA uses RBs a lot in the passing game and Rojo is questionable at best going into next season and Barber is solid but nothing special in the backfield, tho I love his drive and how he runs. Second reason we will look in FA is because we just drafted RoJo high last year and need to focus on the line in this draft. I see Barber and Rojo on the roaster next year but they will be accompanied by Mark Ingram or Tevin Coleman. Makes sense the Glazers don’t want the Kareem Hunt distraction.

Yeah. I would expect Ingram to be one of our priorities.

Honestly, it wouldn’t shock me to see us move on from RoJo. Think about it, BA has no ties to him and he definitely doesn’t fit what they want to do with their backs.

He’ll likely get another year or so, just cuz Licht will want to save face. I think he’s gonna get buried on the depth chart. He’s just not a modern back...

I really hope not.  Almost 30 yr old RB, one strike away from a 1 yr suspension and is more of a runner then dynamic pass catcher.  A guy like Burkhead makes sense for me with cap hit and usage I envision.  I want a more dynamic pass catching RB.

It's not like either of those RBs would be long term solutions. We'd just need them for one season.

Burkhead is just as much of a liability. He's never been able to stay healthy and on the field.

"A guy like" is what I mentioned.  I m looking for a RB who can give more in the passing game other then a dump off or screen passes.  Ingram is not running option routes versus LBs.  For Ingram s potential cost and skill set, I think there will be better options in free agency.   Do I have a particular name? Nope, just looking at skill set and cost.

FA guys I would consider to fill the shoes would be TJ Yeldon, Tevin Coleman, Ty Montgomery.

Out of those guys im sure Ty will be the cheaper option and he also had return ability.  Tevin will def be the highest priced but also probably has the better skill set than all of them IMO.

I would take a chance on TJ Yeldon if I were GM.

I get it, but that guy who can offer both facets ala Levon Bell is gonna cost a fortune.

Closest guy out there to that is Tevin Coleman, but he's actually gotten worse the last 2 years and will still be pricey.

Ingram will never be a guy who's gonna run wheel routes and burn a safety, but he's got good hands and knows how to find the soft spots in zone. He's caught over 50 balls several times, so he's no slouch in the pass game.

Sportrac has him projected at 2 years and $8.8 million. That's more than reasonable for a 3 down, legit back.

I don't see why we can't add a specialist type (some have mentioned Ty Mongomery) to compliment. A guy that's not gonna give you much in run game, but is a matchup nightmare in pass game.  I'd even look in the mid rounds of the draft. BA could hand pick it...

Jets are apparently mulling the idea of trading DT Leonard Williams. They know they're not going to be able to resign him.

He has the Bowles connection and knows the scheme well...

Sucks to give up draft capital but I wouldn't be mad at the trade.  One thing though is that he is on his 5th year option so it could possibly be a rental.
