Love how you use Alabama of all teams for someone having their toughest game. Also, you conveniently don't mention he had an injured 1st/2nd ro, WR Hollywood Brown that game. However, you always mentioned the lack of weapons for players you are supporting

I think interviews would be a little different now. To say Rosen is "dumb as rocks" couldn't be further from the truth. His dad is one of the leading spine surgeons in the world and started the UC Irvine Spine Center and his mother is a well-respected book and magazine editor that has worked with some of the top publishers in the world. Or should I show him standing in the pocket with 15 seconds to throw against the #150th best passing defense in the air-raid Big 12? Murray looked good when everything was in his favor, how'd he look when that wasn't the case?

You're acting like he was 10-29 for 120 yards with 3 Ints and an average of 6 yards per pass. Alabama who will have at least 4, 1st round picks this year and more next season is no shame to not have your best game. You evaluate all the game tape, it is not he was going Division 2 players. BayRaider
Lol saying Murray and Haskins would go behind all QBs this year is a MASSIVE STRETCH. It’d probably go 1. Baker 2. Darnold 3. Murray 4. Haskins 5. Allen 6. Rosen Allen and Rosen were HUGE reaches last year.
NYRaider
Last season at OU Murray played against FAU: #74 pass defense , UCLA: #85 pass defense, Iowa State: #59 pass defense, Army: #15 pass defense, Baylor: #76 pass defense, Texas (2x): #126 pass defense, TCU: #39 pass defense, Kansas State: #87 pass defense, Texas Tech: #127 pass defense, OK State: #104 pass defense, Kansas: #89 pass defense, West Virginia: #71 pass defense, Alabama: #23 pass defense So during that Heisman campaign, he played against (before Bama) 1 top 25 pass defense in the country and that was Army whos number is skewed due to their conference being run, heavy teams. He only played against one other top 40 passing defense in TCU and the majority of the teams he played had the worst passing defenses in the country. Other than Tribusky what other QB has been drafted highly in recent years that only had one year of tape in college? Rosen was heralded as a top 10 pick since his freshman season at UCLA. Honest question, if you put Murray or Haskins in that Cardinals offense that Rosen had last season do you think they would've played much better than he did? Neither of those kids dealt with any adversity at all last season and were in spread offenses with elite offensive lines and weapons. Neither guy got hit much and Murray played one of the softest schedules in the country in terms of the defenses that he played against on a weekly basis. You also said that Murray is extremely intelligent while Rosen is dumb as rocks. Rosen made the All-Academic Pac 12 team and his dad is one of the smartest people on planet earth. Murray can barely get through an interview on an ESPN radio show.

That was the highest his stock was after his Freshman year He was selected #10 last year and probably would of went lower if Cards didn't trade with us. No revisionist history here, he still would be the 3rd or 4th QB taken in this draft. Rosen would be the #1 QB in this class by a wide margin. Most I've read said Murray would have been QB 5 last year. Haskins is a 2nd round talent who will go high in a bad class.

I would not say Rosen is dumb. Far from it. He is very intelligent with a high football IQ. His main issue was relating to people. He was seen as the opposite of Mayfield in regards to how he interacted with other players.

A year ago this argument was used against Mayfield as well. The Big 12 does produce defensive NFL talent. If he went to South Dakota st where he wouldn't face much NFL caliber talent at all, then yes you have a point. This entire division is mostly shootouts that Murray had to bail out his bad defense with more scoring.

Mayfield had 3 years of good tape at Oklahoma, battled adversity there, and was the face of the program. Murray isn't the same quality of prospect that Mayfield was, not even close.
