How should the Cowboys handle Zeke? Re-sign him, that's how.

I would sign Zeke to a new deal. Give him a 3 year deal, $40 million extension on top of his remaining 2 years.

I don't see the hold up. You drafted him #4 overall. The bed is made. If you really felt that you didn't need Zeke to win a championship then you should have drafted Ramsey.

Doesn't sound like anything to me. Elliott got in a car wreck, and the guy he hit is suing for 20 million dollars two and a half years later. 6 months after the staute of limitations, and his case is against the police department and the football team instead of Zekes insurance company?

Jay Ajayi would have been better than Alf. I would like to think that by not signing the most talented RB available or trading for Duke Johnson that they believe Zeke will be back.

But knowing our team and free agency they probably do like Morris better.

Suspended players don't count towards the cap or get paid right?  If true, and he were kicked out of the league or something we wouldn't be stuck with $15m per year in dead money. So the risk is less. Especially if you were planning on giving him a 2nd contract anyway. While he is there, he gives you the explosive plays that sets him apart. If he gets suspended you get cap relief. Injuries are what would really concern me, and he is solid.

Exactly the point I've been preaching on here. You drafted him #4 overall. He's lived up to the hype. You've made your bed, now pay the man. Instead we get excuses from Jerry and people that say Zeke is a "sunk cost". This organization struggles with having a long term plan. Here we are into TC and Dak, Amari or Byron is not signed long term.

Funny how Ramsey has been in zero off the field incidents, plays a position that lasts longer and isn't holding out. Yet Zeke was the the better pick.
