News and Notes W3: Dez says it would be "lovely" to return

Does anyone think that Gallop has Prime/1st WR potential, or is he better suited to be a very good 2nd WR? Reason for asking is what if Dallas never extends a "real" offer for Cooper, but instead let's him walk an Dallas just drafts a much cheaper Weapon in RD1 or 2 next year. A lot should depend on how Dallas perceives Gallop.

I just don't see Dallas sending away a 1st round pick for Cooper only to let him walk after two seasons.

That said...I think Gallup has potential to be a #1.

Unless I am mistaking, wouldn't Gallop net Dallas a 3rd rd comp pick? So a 3rd rd pick and saving a ton of money (that could be spent elsewhere, all while putting Gallop plus top WR drafted in 1st/2nd rd still netting Dallas a dangerous WR tandem.

Don't get me wrong, I love Coop and having weapons, just wonder if Coop can be replaced with Gallop emerging and another "Gallop like draft pick" teaming up for much less.

Coop has his eye on a massive contract and someone will give it to him.  I see a franchise tag upcoming.

good sign him for one more year, let him walk, Dallas gets 3 years of service then inserts another Gallop type and bang, saves money without losing a step..
