I just think this is way too early... It's not about saving the season, it's not about Eli.. You're throwing Daniel Jones into a starting role with NO receivers for the first two weeks. There just shouldn't be such a rush to get him out there.

They have the best RB and a top receiving TE. Teams have done more with less.

Its not like they're going to treat the next 14 games like preseason games. He's going to have to go out there and try to win. When they're down 20+ points because the defense can't stop anybody and Jones is dropping back every play to try and win a game but his WR can't get open and he's taking consistent hits, throwing picks will you be saying "teams have done more with less"?

It’s 2 more weeks without Tate and Shepard could be back this week.

The defense isn’t magically going to get better. Do you want to bench him all season?

It’s not rushing at all. There’s zero point in playing Eli. Let the rookie get the reps. Every week wasted is wasted reps.

The point is let the rookie learn a little before putting him out there to get beat up. Daniel Jones did not come from a big time college program.  You could have had the best of both worlds sit and learn from Eli and still get him starts later on in the season. The risk is putting him out there before he is ready and creating a David Carr situation.  Is that likely to happen no, but why take a risk when there is no need to.

There’s always a risk. We have a good OL. Good RB. Good TE. He’s the #6 pick for a reason.

Whats sitting for 5 more games for him going to do? If he isn’t ready now, 5 games isn’t making a difference. Give him the reps and let him roll.

We have a decent OL our starting TE is a great receiving tight end, blocking not so much. Eli the first pick in the draft did not start right away. Why take a risk when there is no need to do so. I believe this coaching staff is thin skinned and not doing Daniel Jones any favors.

Eli was terrible his rookie season, but one has nothing to do with the other.

With Engram, use him in slot and use Ellison at the in-line or use the FB more.

I just can’t understand this thinking of being static. It doesn’t push the team forward at all.
