Who did he actually fight? I think he should fight Justin and the winner gets a title shot since Beneil is out for a while. Winning 1 fight against Chandler after losing to Khabib shouldn't earn him a title shot anyway. im praying Bobby gets the upset so DC can hop off islams shaft and we can stop hearing about him but if he doesn't tap Bobby, he will just lay on him for 5 rounds. Justin is fighting Olives next though Someone has to fight for the belt next. If you have Islam v Gaethje the belt isnt being defended Alot of top LWs have taken Ls so its tough to push them. Dustin-Conor-Chandler-Hooker-Tony all are at least 1(more likely 2) away so it’s basically Islam and Gaethje since Beneil pulled out. I mean, the argument for needing to beat someone in the top 5 is to prove they are 'good enough' to deserve a title shot, right? I have yet to hear a single person try to make a case that Islam would be outclassed, so at this point - why make him wait? Should he really have to win ELEVEN times in a row instead of TEN because the top fighters refuse to fight him? He's over-deserving at this point, IMO.
