Why the F would they let Jenkins go! Im so mad

So dumb.

I get he's getting up there in age, but he's played every snap for us for how long? Theyre also underestimating his leadership in the lockeroom. Lots of guys are vocal, but not leaders like Malcolm. This hurts...

Well, I'm trying to talk myself into this being a good decision. Really all depends on how much money this saves us and what our plan at safety is going forward.

Hope we have a trade or big signing . Not sure if there's anyone that fits that bill in FA

Hate it, he kept that defensive backfield together the last couple years with like no help and was a great leader for the team. He slowed down for sure. But just rework the deal for two years, buy yourself some time to find a replacement.

4 new DB starters isn’t a recipe for success, at least not one I’d bet on.

Anthony Harris for a mid round pick might be coming

So.... if Mills isn't going to be a full time safety... who the hell are going to be our two safeties next year?

Mills signing takes us to about 20M in cap space give or take. We have to save about 7-8 Million for rookies. Yeah this is concerning.

We need 3 total defensive backs,  2 wideouts, a linebacker maybe a rotational DE.

I can´t believe this team. Really.

The secondary is going to be a mess, the miscommunications are going to be even worse.

Quote

Malcolm Jenkins has been an outstanding player for us and we are proud of everything he accomplished both on and off the field during his time in Philadelphia,” the team said in a statement. “Malcolm was a great teammate and leader, as well as one of the toughest and most reliable players to ever play in our city. After thorough discussion with Malcolm and his agent, Ben Dogra, both sides agreed on the difficult decision to turn the page on what was an incredible six-year relationship. We wish Malcolm and his family all the best as he pursues his next opportunity.”

Mutual agreement

I´m baffled at how this team became so poorly managed in such a short period of time.

You have to think that they have big plans for replacing him. The secondary is in absolute shambles man. Like this needs fixed, BADLY.
