Case wins player of the month:

"Keenum, who was thrown into tough situations early in his career with the Texans and the Rams and was practically set up to fail, has now found himself in Minnesota playing very well and having the Vikings on the cusp of winning the NFC North. As a result, Keenum has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Month in November."

This is absolutely brilliant.... (I put it here, but also could have put it in the Shurmur thread, since he's the accountable one)

A postseason lacking Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson might seem shocking, but what’s more shocking may be the quarterbacks who are set to replace them in the NFC field. Jared Goff, Case Keenum, and Carson Wentz are all piloting teams in the mix for first-round byes, and each looks drastically different than he did in 2016.

The use of play-action—and the effect it can have on an offense—has emerged as a central theme of the 2017 season, and nowhere has it been more evident than in the unexpected efficiency of the Rams, Vikings, and Eagles.

It was a month in which Keenum completed 69 of 97 passes for 866 yards, with seven touchdowns and two interceptions, for a passer rating of 114.0. It’s also a month in which Keenum was sacked only twice, as he continued to show an incredible pocket presence. And a month in which Keenum never fumbled, as he still hasn’t all season. Football Outsiders’ DVOA statistic ranks Keenum as the best quarterback in the NFL this season.

And, shortly before the POTM win, there's this insight into what he's done recently:

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/21533844/what-learn-star-turn-case-keenum-minnesota-vikings-whether-re-signed-2017-nfl

excerpt:

"Here we are, though, and it's not to talk about the 29-year-old as a flash in the pan. Keenum has been one of the most efficient and effective quarterbacks in football this season, and though you might expect a player with Keenum's track record to cool off after a few games, he is actually getting hotter. "

OK, discuss,... or pad your post count.

IMO; there's no way to tell what his plateau would be, and if he'll actually level off, rather than oscillate between hot and cold and lukewarm performances.  We need more games played against different teams with different defensive schemes and players.

Don't mean to post pad but let's not get ahead ourselves here, that award is going to Thielen.

I'd love to see ANY Viking's player named SB MVP, just so long as we won (has a SB MVP ever been named from a losing team?).
