pwny Posted June 3, 2020 Share Posted June 3, 2020 (edited) Trading for Brees made a ton of sense for borderline teams trying to take a step towards winning a title this season. And the idea of the league potentially ending added more potential reason for one of those teams to make the decision to move for a player with limited time left more enticing. The move makes absolutely no sense and is completely counterproductive for a team that’s currently burning down their stash of keepers for draft picks and has no reasonable means to win games in either of the next two seasons, which is likely all Brees has left.
