Jordan Elliot is the poster boy for never going full-analytics.

Every year I see some PFF graph about how is actually a top 10 DT in the NFL but watching the Browns play football I only hear his name called like once every 4 games for making a play.

What game is PFF watching that you think Jordan Elliott is good at football

Wasn’t he rated the worst in the NFL last year?

No idea, I remember seeing a year ago or something that he was like #3 in the NFL among DTs in some arbitrary made up stat by PFF like "Block Shedding Above Win Rate and Replacement'

He was graded as one of the better rookies like halfway through his first season. Since then I'm pretty sure PFF hasn't been high on him. Certainly not this past season, where he was like a bottom five DT according to them.

Jones does nothing to improve our run D

Yeah, I wouldn't have been mad if we signed him. But if he's truly not good against the run, I'm not going to lose any sleep over missing out on him. It's nice to have a DT who's good at rushing the passer, but unless they're dominant rushing the passer, they've at least gotta be solid vs. the run.

He would have improved our not being Jordan Elliot or tommy togiai rating

There are still DT out there, I’m glad we didn’t give him that much money to be honest, he doesn’t fix our biggest problem at DT and that is stopping the run

“We’ll prolly draft some guy with a good pff rating lololol”

same dudes, next page…

”our DTs were rated really low by pff”

PFF matters or it doesn’t boys, pick one.

PFF is good when it agrees with me and bad when it disagrees with me.
