That'll open up enough to sign both Sanheim and Hart? Signing Dougie after that would put you guys right on the cap right?

Currently at 12 and change so RFAs shouldn't be an issue.  Sanheim is probably like 4-5ish and I have no clue on Hart.  If they managed to get rid of JVR I don't think Dougie would be a problem (would be right up against it).

Need some space the next year though, G and Couts are expired and Farabee is an RFA.  These idiots will get rid of Ghost so that's 4.5 as well.  Couts is due a major payday and I have no clue what G will sign at.

How's it looking for you guys in your cap? You Expecting RNH to be gone?

We're going to have something like 23M in cap space before needing to sign guys (and also before buying out Neal and/or Kosko, atleast one seems inevitable). I think Holland is going to be aggressive and turn the supporting talent around McDrai into playoff caliber.

I don't expect Nuge to be back. Last reports are he has rejected two offers from us, last one being 5 years for <6M. He wants something closer to 7M AAV. He's a top 6 winger (NOT a C), but his weaknesses further exacerbate our own issues.

What are RNH's weaknesses? How would he fit in with, say, Jack Hughes?

So in terms of fit you'll know best but this is RNH for me. He's a good top 6 complimentary winger. He'll regularly score 20g and around 55-60 points. He's not a line driver, cannot produce if he's asked to carry the puck up the ice. Saw it when Hall was here, then McDavid and now Drai. He's sub par offensively at ES, won't produce ES points at the rate you'd like. Above average defensively at ES, and will have a regular role on your PK (probably second unit). Wizard on the PP and produces well above average in that area. Is ok on board battles, tries and sometimes loses due to sheer size but does well enough. Terrific in the room, every talent we've had. every coach and GM has loved him and working with him. Will stick up for guys in scrums, and has gotten into the odd fight too.

The last thing is I think he'd benefit from a change in scenery. While he's not poor, I think he's lost a bit of fire after he's been here so long with how bad we've been. New team, new area and new teammates would re-ignite his passion a lot in my opinion.

Sounds like he's perfect for Jack tbqh and Lord knows we need help on our special teams units.

I think he'd be good for Jack and you guys. He won't make you a playoff team, but he'll help form either line of a top 6 and thrive. I've you guys, Minny and a few others circled as his most likely destinations.
