But marner is now 18 playoff games without a goal and apparently didn't have a pp goal this year either? Like damn. Like you said JT's contract isn't moveable. It'll be Nylander and Kerfoot (separate trades) for a bunch of pieces. Which I don't think will help them in the long run. It doesn't matter if Nylander outperformed them in the playoffs (they did), those two will be given every chance in the world to right the ship. Also, with Marner's contract, I don't think the return would be as good as if you traded Nylander. In a flat cap era, I think it's easier to get a better return with Nylander too.
