Only way they make the playoffs is as the #4 seed because they were the least crappy team in the NFC East. That wins them a home date with the best wild card team. If we look at what is out there now, that would be a repeat matchup with the Rams. So, end up going from a top ten pick to 19th because they sucked the least. Yay ... I used to be that kind of optimist with both Washington and the Orioles. After 2009-10 for both teams, I just gave up on it. Too much disappointment for me. Ever since then, at least with Washington, I've been slowly pushed away. At least the Orioles had a good stretch of meaningful games from 2011-2017, and are rebuilding correctly. Elias stayed the course this year when he could have dumped resources for an ill-advised playoff run.
