e16bball Posted November 5, 2020 Share Posted November 5, 2020 Just a quick reminder that SF cut Pettis loose despite the fact that they are going to be using Trent Taylor, Richie James, and three PS guys as their WR corps tonight against the Packers. Something has gone very wrong there. Maybe it’s just a sour relationship/lack of trust between he and the coaching staff — but it’s all hands on deck there at this point, and they still decided they don’t want his hands anywhere near his deck. He’s a talented guy, but there seems to be something lacking, at least in the eyes of the staff there in SF. I always felt Shannhan scheme designs to get a player open NS Shanny picks who he wants that guy to be here it was Garcon,his year in cleveland he targeted Andrew Hawkins over 100 times in ATL it was Julio. Pettis had a good rookie season with 450+{ yards and 5 tds despite only starting 7 games,Then year 2 they draft Deebo and he gets targets instead and they add Sandres mid year that basically took Pettis off field,then this year they draft Auiyuk and Pettis has only seen 1 target. Don't know if it fustration on Pettis part,bad practice habits or diva issues,but agree with as much as Niners have had inj problems to just cut him in year 3 means they've lost all faith. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
