How can you say that? We got a comp pick that we cleverly turned into game changers Bryce Love and Wes Martin. Obviously not re-signing Cousins or trading Cousins to the 49ers in 2016 or 2017 for at the least a 2nd round pick remains one of the dumbest things this franchise has done since they didn’t keep Brad Johnson after he got hurt in 2001 - instead Dan/Cerrato/Spurier drafted Patrick Ramsey and signed Shane Matthews and Danny Wuerfell - but we did get two prospect for Kirk at least so it’s something...??? It remains to be seen what Love & Martin turn into. I’m hoping Love gets healthy and Martin’s set backs at LG this year are just a blimp on the radar screen as he wasn’t awful last year so, it was a shock to see him get manhandled although it was against great competition of Aaron Donald, Fletcher Cox, Malik Jackson, Calias Campbell, Brandon Williams and Derek Wolfe. e16bball
Trubisky and Foles both out. If it wasn’t for the dumb arbitrary trade deadline, we could have been in position to trade Alex Smith to CHI and reunite him with his old OC and BFF, Matt Nagy. Wonder what they would have given up for Alex based on where he and they both stand at this moment in time.

Keep in mind that this arbitrary trade deadline is better than it used to be. Used to be around week 6. Still not that useful, but better than it was. I don't believe Washington would have traded Alex Smith in this particular case, though.

If Ron would trade Alex, I don’t see him giving him away in the way he did w/ Dunny & TWill bc they didn’t want to be here which was bad for the culture.
