lakers should of kept dwight. kanter and nurkic destroyed us

got to make a trade at some point

Not much we can do about Dwight not being patient and wanting to get on with a contender somewhere. He would've been signed if he waited it out.

But, yeah not having his rebounding and verticality hurts in some match-ups for sure.

A defensive/rebounding big shouldn't be too hard to get at the trade deadline or on the buy out market though. No need to panic over a guy that will get a handful of minutes.

Portland's Centers dominated the boards - Gasol is on the bench in crunch time - and Kuzma reverts to his "brick chucking" self.
Not a good night for the LAL.

Blazers just put out more effort all night. Besides Schroder most guys didn't bring it in that regard. Dame got a BS bank three and also a BS 3 PT shooting foul.... you can point to the score difference right there, but overall Dennis held him in check most of the game.

AD was especially lazy tonight. Wasn't putting up much effort on either end. He has these games occasionally and it really hurts us offensively especially.

Trez was out there for 16 straight minutes in the 2nd half and they didn't even try and feed him at times when we were struggling offensively and he's good at getting a bucket down low. I didn't get it. Like you said we didn't see Gasol again after Trez went in. Vogel was trying things out, but they weren't working.

We lost by a small margin in a game we were sloppy, our best player looked pathetic, and our rotations were questionable. It's definitely a game we deserve to lose.

I like Trezz.....but he's a PF not a C.

Vogel knows this.

Trez is bound to play center more than we would like in the regular season cause AD doesn't really wanna do the dirty work all year. Obviously if we had Dwight or another center to throw in there for small stretches that would mitigate the amount we need to put Trez in at the 5 right now, but we don't have that at the moment, so it is what it is.

When the playoffs come around it will be mainly AD at the 5 as the rotation gets condensed.

idk if you can say anyone kept dame in check tonight. 31 points on 10/16 is pretty great. schroeder looked good, yeah, but wouldn't say he or any laker played well defensively

Not all of those were against Schroder obviously and he got 6 points off a lucky 3 PT bank from straight away where he was off balance and pushed it and he also got a BS 3PT foul where Schroder didn't touch him and he bricked the attempt. Schroder was running around screens with him all night and taking it to him on both ends. Schroder got the better of him this match-up.

yeah yeah yeah, lakers reg season means nothing, we all know that but dang, took AD high in my money fantasy league thinking lebron had recalibrated his mentality.

It doesn't mean nothing. I still wanna get these wins lol.

But, yeah.... AD's only real good game this season was against the Mavs on Christmas.

mang, aint no lucky shots in the nba (except that one millsap (wait was it millsap or someone that just looks like him?) tip in from like 8 feet away behind his head with 0.00001 seconds on the shot clock)

schroder did not get the better of him lol, just take the l. dame had better numbers and got the win. also didn't really like schroder forcing some of his drives late in the game with lebron and AD not being involved. but oh well. this game meant more to the blazers for sure.
