Coronavirus is supposed to make a dent in the lead to the playoffs and the playoffs themselves, to provide a jolt of reality heading into 2021. We can't afford hundreds of thousands more deaths and ignorant refusal to take the vaccine. High profile absences and altered or canceled playoff games could have widespread benefit.
