Still confused if Dansby is good or not though @KhanYouDigIt Things happens sometime . My boy was the #1 pick for a reason. We really need to start bringing some of these arms up for the pen if we have any thoughts on making the postseason. Touki as a high leverage reliever would be almost unhittable. WizardHawk
Can someone explain why Ender is and has been hitting lead off?

Markakis would be good there but all of two managers in baseball might actually do that. And please look a little deeper than surface stats... hits are gonna start falling in for him most likely, hes got a BABIP of .182.

devils1854
Remember before the season when I said Sobotka was the top candidate for major regression?

The bullpen in general is a massive dumpster fire. If Atlanta doesn't get it squared away they're going to cost the team a lot of wins. Honestly i think the best move internally would be to try newcomb out of the pen. Hopefully his fastball gains a couple ticks when used an inninhg at time... maybe sits 95 plus room to find more when needed. That hail mary plus keeping webb up who is a fairly well though of young bullpen arm hopefully could help us not blow every other game. devils1854
We are definitely going to limit the innings of the young guys this year and we know Folty, Fried, Teheran, and Gausman will be in the rotation for the whole year, with at least Fried taking a "shoulder soreness" stint to limit innings. Soroka and Touki should be the guys getting the bulk of the starts in the last hole. Having Newcomb, Wilson, and Wright spend some time in the pen will not only help it, but it will also clear rotation spots in Gwinnett for Anderson, Wentz, Muller, and Weigel. devils1854
40 man is full Put Parsons in either the closer or set up role Let Jacob Webb pitch meaningful innings DFA O'Day(he wont pitch this year) and Grant Dayton(why is he even still with the team?) Call up Corbin Clouse and Elian Leyva Send down Sobotka and Biddle Parsons, Minter, Webb, Jackson, Winkler, Tomlin, Clouse, Leyva

What happens if/when Parsons gets blown up? What happens if Sobotka goes on a tear and is the guy he was last year? The pen your proposing looks pretty awful tbh. It literally cant get much worse than it already is. I just want guys that arent getting a chance to actually get one. We know what we have with a majority of this pen. We dont know what we have with some, so why not give them a chance? If they suck, no harm because everyone else sucks, but maybe at least one of them will be descent enough to help. Jackson will no doubt fall to earth, but as long as he is pitching decently, you need to keep him. Same with Tomlin. Would love to say lets sign Kimbrel and make some trades, but if we sign Kimbrel, It will be after the draft, and its probably too early for teams to be giving up on the season and trading assets. Id just rather try something than do nothing and expect different results.
