soflbillsfan
This is why I think the whole aspect of Free Agency timelines are a joke. If he is claiming that there is a lack of interest from teams looking at him as a starter or compete to start right now and that is why he is leaning to retirement. This just proves no organization listens to the "legal tampering period". If teams followed the rules then he wouldnt be discussing that not many teams are interested in him. Whats the point of having a FA timeline when they are legally able to discuss contracts and interest if teams prove to be doing this well before then. Even now without a combine it is still being openly discussed between players and organizations. They should just change the league year to start sooner then waiting to March to do so since agents, front office personnel and players talk about where to go etc.
SteelKing728
I know its not Fitz, but does JT O'Sullivan still hold the record for most jerseys collected?

Broncofan
Translation - he's not playing for pure backup money. 2nd part - he probably won't find work until the Watson/draft/Darnold/etc. market musical chairs end, and teams are left without a young option for plan A. I do think he'll find work, but he rightfully isn't going to take pure backup money, either. He's earned enough to get a similar deal to what Miami gave him last contract.
