  1. 1. Which should be the Game Of The Week?

    • #19 Michigan @ #2 Penn State
    • #11 USC @ #13 Notre Dame

Also, if the Badgers go 12-1 and our only loss is to Penn State in the B1G title game, JT23 better get an invite to New York even though he won't win it. He's the main reason why our offense is even remotely decent. I'm super excited that we get 2 more years of him, guaranteed. He's going to run for 2000+ as a true freshman if he doesn't get hurt.

And Hugh Freeze enjoys ticking Saban off more than he enjoys his $500 per hour escorts.

Here's how you make the SEC relevant again

Bama, Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt all have coaches that are set

  • Arkansas-Jeff Brohm
  • Ole Miss-Dave Doeren
  • Auburn-sorry Gus is staying
  • LSU-see Auburn
  • Tennessee-Lane Kiffin
  • Missouri-Mike Bobo
  • Texas A&M-Chad Morris
  • Florida-Scott Frost

Hell would freeze over before that happened.

I live in Nashville, and of course there are Grumors everywhere, but there are a few whispers that some people want Lane back.

Ultimately, I belive Mike Norvell will be the next Tennessee head coach, because Tennessee's administration is a joke and that is the type of coach they will target once they are shut down by Gruden once again.

I think Frost will go to Nebraska, but I'd love him at UF. Tennessee can do so much better than Lane Kiffin. They should go after Mike Norvell or Mike MacIntyre. If I were Mizzou, I'd throw caution into the wind and go after a coach with a troubled past (Briles, Freeze, etc.). Mike Bobo or Doeren would be solid choices for Ole Miss. They could also try to pull Mike Leach or Rich Rod.

As for Arkansas, I've got a name that I think would fit well there: Bo Pelini. I think Pelini knows that area well, and his style of football would be appreciated at Arkansas.

Hiring Mike Norvell would be a joke? He's picked up where Fuente left off at Memphis. Lane, on the other hand, failed spectacularly at arguably the best job in the country. I'd take Norvell in a second over Lane Kiffin. Lane isn't really any different than Butch Jones. He'll recruit great talent and underachieve with it.

The Tennessee faithful want Gruden/Stoops/Kelly. Gruden isnt leaving his cushy ESPN job and endorsements. Stoops isnt going to Tennessee when he can have Florida or other huge jobs in a year or so, and Kelly hates recruiting, and he would have to do something in the SEC.

To me Norvell isnt even a top small school candidate for a SEC team. No experience in the southeast other than his two years at Memphis(not the same). Still has a ton of Fuente's players at Memphis, and who knows if he can actually win with his own recruits.

Tennessee can do so much better in Petrino(he wont be the Louisville coach in 2018), Brohm, or even a Doeren.

The Tennessee faithful are stupid. They think they're a UF, UGA, LSU, Bama, Texas, USC, etc. level school. They're not. They fall for the Grumors every time there's an opening. We can both agree that they're almost definitely not landing any of those guys.

These are valid points, but Memphis is still Memphis. He's not winning with elite recruits. He's winning with the guys who Fuente won with at Memphis. And I think we can all agree that is what vaulted Fuente to Virginia Tech. The fact that Norvell can win with them speaks highly of his abilities. I'm not saying he's a lock to be successful, but he's proving himself to be a quality guy and obviously knows the state of Tennessee.

What better small school candidates are there for Tennessee? Omit the guys who are going to get better jobs.

Petrino could bail to Tennessee. That's possible. I would hate that. Brohm was impressive at WKU, but he needs to do more at Purdue before he gets a promotion imo. I'm a little more skittish on Doeren. His track record at NIU was outstanding, but he was middling for awhile at N.C. State. This is his first strong year, and I'm not sure how strong they are.

If we are being realistic

  • Tennessee-Mike Norvell
  • Ole Miss-Frank Wilson
  • Arkansas-Matt Campbell

Matt Campbell is doing an impressive job at Arkansas. I'm really surprised that Bo Pelini isn't getting any interest. I know the guy had an attitude, but he was still a solid HC at Nebraska.

Seriously, Shea Patterson under Mike Leach would put up godly stats.

Would love Leach in the SEC, but you know his laid back, crazy attitude isnt for the SEC. He's too old, and a god in Pullman. 8-9 wins a year there and he has a statue built.
