Playoff outlook if just Chalk wins down the line

Cheesy Conference

1. Hanoi Viet Kongs 14-2

2. Norway Knights 11-5

3. Reykjavík Direwolves 11-5

4.  Little Rock Uni Royals 11-5

missed out:

5. SA Woolly Mammoths 8-8

6. Anchorage Moose 7-9

Kongs are odds on favorite for the 1 seed. If they beat the Direwolves this week, id move that to a lock.

Close division race between Knights and Uni Royals, but the Knights sweep could make all the difference.

I feel pretty confident about this group of 4 playoff teams making it in here.

Salsa Conference

1. Nassau Sea Wolves 14-2

2. Indianapolis Predators 13-3

3. Rocket City Trash Pandas 12-4

4. Providence Patricias 9-7

just missed

5. Phoenix Rattlers 8-8

6. Egypt Starfalls 8-8

7. Freiburg Venom 7-9

For Salsa, the top 3 seeds are a lock to make the playoffs, but there will be some jockeying for seeds.

Theres going to be a great battle for the 4 seed. The Chalk odds have the Pats coming from behind and grabbing the seed, but 4 teams are in the mix

So much to be decided in a very tight Yellow division. I still have games against the Predators, the Venom and the Tammy’s plus games against the Papermakers who are no pushovers and the Knights.

A couple L’s in there are I fall right back into the pack and clawing for a playoff spot.

Time again for my subjective gut feel on how the games play out

previous week record: 7-3

WEEK 12 (Mon, August 2nd)
Egypt Starfalls @ Indianapolis Predators

This should be a really good game against two teams in the playoff mix.

The Starfalls have some playmakers on defense, but the Predators have been averaging 28 points per game, and i see that continuing.

The Starfalls poor rushing attack (Per Rush: 3.99) does them in, but they are able to keep it close.

prediction: Predators win 28-25

Norway Knights @ Chicago Fire

The Knights give up the most passing yards in the NSFL. The Fire have one of the best passing attacks led by Jimmy G (??!!)

This makes for a shooutout since the Knights added some offensive pieces such as Amari Cooper, and Biotonio.

The Knights are trying out Chuck Clark, and inexplicably traded for Kyle Fuller off a terrible pirates defense.

This could start out rough, but the Knights ultimately overpower Chicago

prediction: Knights win 43-36

Hanoi Viet Kongs @ Reykjavík Direwolves

Game of the week!

I just have a bad feeling about this game for the Direwolves, a game where nothing goes right.

RNG + a really good Kongs defense yields a shutout.

prediction: Kongs win 29-0

Phoenix Rattlers @ Nassau Sea Wolves

The Seawolves have perhaps the most complete team in the nsfl.

The Rattlers dont have a good qb option. Kirk or Baker, neither one is gonna measure up as the Sea Wolves roll.

prediction: Sea Wolves win 35-10

Rocket City Trash Pandas @ Scranton Papermakers

This should be a squash match here. RC just needs to avoid a couple playmakers on the papermakers, and they should roll.

key stat

RC Passer Rating: 102.92

Scranton Passer Rating Allowed: 108.67

I predict JuJu Smith-Schuster will have a huge game

prediction: RC wins 42-17

Tacoma Thunder @ South Africa Woolly Mammoths

Zach Wilsons growing pains continue, but this time his team gets a couple FGs.

SA firmly announces they are here to stay in the playoff race

prediction: Mammoths win 29-6

Lancaster Fighting Amish @ Providence Patricias

upset special!

The Amish have some good dudes on defense and actually a pretty decent run and pass defense in terms of efficiency.

the pats secondary shakeup might tilt the tides for the Amish to get those law of averages and the win

prediction: Amish win 37-24

Freiburg Venom @ Anchorage Moose*

Moon game!

So Derrick Henry and Najee Harris go to battle in a game where only running offenses will matter?

whoops! What a mismatch!

Trevor Lawrence will be wasted here, as the Venom easily rush to a win

prediction: Venom win 34-17

Rio de Janeiro Pirates @ Little Rock Uni Royals

Rios new starting CBs are pretty bad: Logan Ryan and Jason Verrett. So the question becomes, can LR keep RJ under 28 points?

based on their defensive stats, i think they can.

prediction: Little Rock wins 28-20

Richmond Flying Squirrels @ Antarctica Penguin Poppers

I think this is one of those games that come outta nowhere because every though theres a big disparity in Core (favoring richmond), the sum of the other pieces for the poppers make up for it subtlely

prediction: Poppers win 25-10

Would be a new low for my defense if we were to give up 25 to a Trask/Etienne QB/RB duo.
