@Adrenaline_FluxI know you watched edge Anderson alot but what do you think of EDGE Nolan Smith from Georgia and DL/EDGE Travon Walker.

I may need to re-focus on them as my attention usually went to Anderson. Nolan Smith is interesting, but probably another project pass rusher like Chaisson has been and Jordan Smith has seemed to be so far. Talent there, but probably guys I'd prefer over him in that Day 2-early Day 3 range. I like Travon Walker a lot. He'd probably fit into that Dawuane Smoot/Jihad Ward tweener role (which you kinda allude to) so he'd be another piece. I wouldn't mind taking him in the 2nd or 3rd if he falls.

What do you think about Kingsley Enagbare from South Carolina?

He more in that smoot/ward kinda role but he's actually got some coverage experience/skills.

I guess it kinda depends on what Cullen wants as 2nd olb.

If he plans on having the guy drop into coverage semi-often I like Bonitto but he's fairly small for a true 3-4 olb and he doesn't have many moves.

What this defense needs is 2 guys who can push the pocket some.  I think Roy fills 1 spot but I'm not sure who really qualifies as a 2nd guy.

Updated Urban Meyer off-season:

*Think we end up picking around 10th

*Think Dan Mullen is hired IF fired by UF.

Re-Sign:

DJ Chark WR

Cam Robinson LT

Andrew Norwell LG

Tyler Shatley C

Will Richardson G/T

Damien Wilson LB

Andrew Wingard SAF

Free Agency:

Za’Darius Smith Edge - Looks like he will be a cap casualty in Green Bay. Played with Cullen in Baltimore. Gives us a pass rushing threat opposite Josh Allen.

Michael Thomas WR - Not really FA but I truly think the Jags will work out a deal with NO post June 1st via future draft picks.

Joe Haden CB - One year deal. One of Urban’s guys and will add vet presence to secondary.

Frankie Luvu - Special teams player to replace McCray. Highly graded by PFF as an edge player albeit with limited reps.

Dwayne Haskins QB - Another Urban guy.

Jalen Hurd RB/WR/TE - Low risk, high reward. Cant stay healthy but his athletic traits are off the chart. Urban tried hard to get him to transfer to Ohio State before he went to Baylor.

Draft:

1 - Ahmad Gardner CB - Has not allowed a TD in his college career. Looks like a true shutdown corner. Plays for Urban’s old DC Luke Fickell and we know Urban loves to bring in people that he can get intel on.

2 - Trey McBride TE - True all-around TE who can catch and block. Plays for Steve Adazzio so Urban will again get all the intel.

3 - Wan’Dale Robinson WR - RB turned WR who plays similar to Rondale Moore/Kadarius Toney. Seems to check all the boxes that Urban likes.

3 - Zachary Carter DL - Big DE that has pass rush abilities. Can slide inside to give the interior rush that Urban has been coveting.

4 - Jamaree Salyer OL - Highly graded LT by PFF. Has played every spot on the oline for Georgia. Undersized to play LT in the NFL but will slide inside for the Jags.

5 - Zamir White RB - Urban had him ranked as a top 5 RB last year and can play ST (see his blocked punt from a few weeks ago), which Urban loves.

5 Cade Mays OT - Developmental RT to backup Jawaan.

6 - Christopher Allen Edge/LB - Another Baalke special. Flashed as edge rusher for Bama before tearing his ACL. Has experience with Charlie Strong.

6 - Jacob Copeland WR - Developmental WR.

6 - Kalia Davis DT - Another  Baalke-special. Flashed as a 3T before tearing his ACL.

6 - Quentin Lake Saf- Versatile. Can play Safety, CB, or NB.

7 - Marcus Jones CB/WR/RS - Raw but super fast. Chess piece that Urban can develop.

7 - Jonathan Doerer K - Strong leg. Developmental K to compete with Wright.

QB - T.Lawrence, C.Beathard, D.Haskins

RB - J.Robinson, T.Etienne, C.Hyde, Z.White, J.Hurd

WR - M.Thomas, M.Jones (might get cut or traded), J.Copeland

WR - D.Chark, J.Agnew

WR - W.Robinson, L.Shenault, J.Hurd

TE - D.Arnold, T.McBride, C.Manhertz, L.Farrell

LT - C.Robinson, W.Little

LG - A.Norwell, J.Salyer

C - B.Linder, T.Shatley

RG - B.Bartch, W.Richardson

RT - J.Taylor, C.Mays

DE - D.Smoot, R.Robertson-Harris

DE - M.Brown, Z.Carter, K.Davis

DT - D.Hamilton, J.Tufele, D.Costin

OLB - J.Allen, F.Luvu, J.Smith

MLB - D.Wilson, S.Quarterman, C.Allen

WLB - M.Jack, D.Moses

OLB - Z.Smith, K.Chaisson

CB - S.Griffin, T.Campbell, M.Jones

FS - A.Wingard/A.Cisco, Q.Lake

SS - R.Jenkins, R.Ford (NB)

Imagine getting Hutchinson with Allen as your edge guys

At this point, unless you land an elite #1 in FA, if there’s a WR on the same echelon talent wise and we have a chance to get them you sprint to the podium. I currently think Wilson has a chance to be that guy you take in the top 10.

Trevor has zero chance with the current setup he has. This years already pretty much washed because of it. Get. Him. Weapons.

(Id still be for a WR round 1 even if we land Sutton or Godwin. Marvin better not be any higher than a #3 next year)

Throw Gallup in the mix.

Marvin as a 2 is fine.  What we need is to get our wrs out there learning to catch and not drop.

Make them do pushups for dropping a pass like how defenders do for dropping ints.

I'm not sure if I trust pfns board right now or not but the best values look in that 3-5 range. U got guys like Dotson, metchie, Pickens, Williams, Robinson, Austin, and Flowers all going in that area.

I assume this is Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, and Jameson Williams.

Sign me up for Garrett Wilson if we are in that 6-10 range.

Sign me up for a new wr coach a veteran number 1 wr.

Keep in mind we get ettiene coming back in a wr/RB role and Jones and Shenault coming back along with Agnew.

I don't think a new WR coach is necessary based off the information we have.

Give me a veteran WR (I think the most likely one we could land that would be a fit is someone like Courtland Sutton) and a couple WRs in the draft. I wouldn't be upset if the first two picks were WRs. Give me either Garrett Wilson or Chris Olave and then try to snag another one. Deep WR class and there will probably be Round 1 talents at the top of the 2nd (or trade into late 1st for 1).

This is all assuming Chark isn't back though too.
