First-pick sim

Qb went 1/2 and we had pick 3.  Traded down from 3 to 4 for a high 2 and we would still get an elite edge guy. Both thibs and hutch should have similar grades

Round 1 Pick 4 (NYJ): Aidan Hutchinson, DE/OLB, Michigan (A-) starting edge
Round 2 Pick 2: Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State (A) starting tackle
Round 2 Pick 4 (NYJ): George Pickens, WR, Georgia (A-) starting wr
Round 3 Pick 3: Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State (A+) starting wr
Round 3 Pick 8: Jaquan Brisker, FS/SS, Penn State (A+) starting ss to pair with Cisco
Round 4 Pick 2: Jamaree Salyer, OG, Georgia (A+) starting g
Round 5 Pick 11: DJ Dale, DT, Alabama (A+) DL competition. Between tufele and dale one of them should be able to replace Malcom brown
Round 6 Pick 2: Isaiah Likely, TE, Coastal Carolina (A+) pass catching te.  Reminds me of Josh oliver

Round 6 Pick 5: Colby Wooden, DE/OLB, Auburn (A+) future interior rusher
Round 6 Pick 9: Brian Robinson, RB, Alabama (A+) RB depth
Round 6 Pick 15: Isaac TaylorStuart, CB, USC (A+) cb competition
Round 7 Pick 3: Jack Sanborn, OLB/ILB, Wisconsin (A+) lb competition
Round 7 Pick 31: Calvin Austin, WR, Memphis (A+) speed wr/rs

34. David Bell WR Purdue

35. Trevor Penning OT Northern Iowa

36.Nicholas Petit-Frere OT Ohio State

73. Jarrett Patterson OC Notre Dame

75. Devonte Wyatt DT Georgia

105. Kyren Williams RB Notre Dame

152. Sam LaPorta TE Iowa

182. Corey Dureden DT NC State

191. Ifeanyi Maijeh DT Rutgers

197. Ochaun Mathis EDGE TCU

222. Bo Nix QB Auburn

247. JT Woods S Baylor

Pretty unrealistic with (3) 2nd round picks in a row, but it’s the picks the Jags received on trade backs.

I'd hope we would address wr with atleast 1 proven top wr cuz as much as you want to count on both rookie's they will have an adjustment period

2nd Draft trade back to 3 with Texans received a pretty good haul in picks.

3. Evan Neal OT Alabama (with Cam being a free agent it’s a necessity)

34. Myjai Sanders EDGE Cincinnati (looking for complementary help for J. Allen)

35. David Bell WR Purdue (Not exactly the top notch athlete with blazing speed but Bell is a football player and a productive one at that.)

66. Travon Walker DT Georgia( Trench monster adds much needed depth up front for the front 7.)

67. Jahan Dotson WR Penn State (Another productive target for Trev to grow with.)

75. Abraham Lucas OT Washington State (With Taylor going into his last year and not being a potential corner stone this pick adds depth and if you feel comfortable with Little at RT possibly kick Taylor inside to G his final year and see if he can play the position.. or at least you have good depth w/ Taylor, Little, Lucas.)

105. Haskell Garrett DT Ohio State ( added depth to front 7.)

152. Josh Whyle TE Cincinnati (under rated TE target kids athletic not a blazer but he has just enough quicks to stretch a defense.. and can also line out wide to create mismatches long athletic dude 6’6 with room to put on weight and improve blocking but could be a steal.

191. Ifeanyi Maijeh DT Rutgers (more depth upfront basically BPA at this point.)

197. Dontario Drummond WR Mississippi (a good receiver not a blazer but a good route runner with solid hands.)

222. Ellis Brooks LB Penn State (LB depth)

247. Xavier Thomas EDGE Clemson (Edge depth developmental player.)

He reminds me a bit of Allen Robinson and could have a similar role for you guys when you drafted him.

With the lack of speed offensively I don’t see him as a likely option tbh. Maybe if we draft a guy like Dotson at the top of round 2/already got one of the big three and we trade back into round 2. But this offense needs speed in the worst way.

I like this draft, but it does highlight the dilemma we're in of leaving one of those edge prospects for the Texans should we select Neal.  Really hoping the Texans beat us and also win another game or two

Guys…it’s sad but I’m losing interest in the draft. The Jags are finished if they keep Urban. I’m not going to get emotionally invested into this heap of crap

Hang in there buddy.  One nice thing about picking this high is that you are bound to get a great player, no matter who you select.
