I think our defense is ok if we can score more points, especially if we add a guy or two in FA.

Charles
I'm leaning towards Neal. He feels like the safest pick. We absolutely cannot afford another 1st round pass rushing bust.
Vino
I don't think tackle is a need for us to justify taking him number 1 with comparable players at an actual position of need available.

We need to improve the ol and with cam, Norwell, cann, shatley, Richardson all free agents along with Taylor being a giant turd says we need atleast 1 ol Early. What Trevor really needs is a proven top end wr. If we resign chark to like a prove it deal along with a top guy like Arob then I would say ol takes the bigger need. This wr class is decently deep with starting caliber options available thru round 4.

The class being “deep” doesn’t mean the talent pool doesn’t get worse the farther you go down. You have a chance at guys with upside to be a #1 type at 33 or in a trade up to late round 1. That is what this team lacks. Not more fringe #2/#3 type fodder. At 60+ you’re looking at exactly that most likely. No OL at 33 for me.

Look at what happened to Andrew luck. Big part of the problem was cuz his OL was crap and the injuries took the toll and he retired early instead of having a normal sized career. We had a middle of the road pass blocking OL by multiple advanced metrics this year bud. Trevor is fine. Comparing the situations is ridiculous. Burrow got completely wrecked last year and still told his FO to go get Chase over Sewell. They are now in the playoffs and one of the most prolific offenses in football. You can find interior OL and a RT in FA or the middle rounds of the draft. Zero interest in either at 33.

And chase is miles above any of these wr prospects this year. You can find your number 1 wr in free agency. You can find a good number 2 wr in the draft. Hell the lions got a solid starter in st. Brown in round 4. I think viska will be better then this year if we get a wr coach that knows how to teach
