When he thought Mond threw an interception, he knew Mond's name. When Rose made a 20-yard run, he didn't know his name. When he fumbled, suddenly he knew Rose's name. I find all this interesting. He just needs to work on getting the hitch out of his delivery, and to get more experience on learning to recognise defences, get to know his receivers, and learn the playbook.
