So you can avoid grounding if a defender makes contact with The QB or the ball as long as the QB is in the throwing motion? Even if a WR isn’t around

I don't think I agree with this. 
 


This is an example from NFL network (hopefully time stamp worked) that is clearly much more egregious contact than this play. I've never heard of contact nullifying intentional grounding, only batted balls.

I'm voting missed call.
