Do you have access to how Harris was rated playing S vs CB? I thought he was a total bust but he seemed to improve when they put him at CB.

Depending on how much stock you put into PFF and its metrics, the thought of "Harris played better at CB than S" doesn't hold true. His best play was either in the slot or at Strong Safety.

I really hope we sign Williams.  New Orleans obviously can't afford him and he would be reunited with his DB coach in Glenn.  Would be a huge upgrade for the back end.  Adding someone like Brisker or Cine at the top of the 2nd would be nice.  If we wait until the third or later then Bell, Kerby Joseph, Percy Butler or Bryan Cook would be good options.  Can you get a PFF breakdown on those guys you haven't covered yet?

Haven't forgotten about this and will post this soon.

Reed Blankenship was a S I was high on last draft (Day2/3) but he returned to school. TBH, I didn't watch much of him this season. I wonder if he even gets drafted this year.

I need to watch some more film on Bryan Cook.

I'm working on the snap counts for this group. Gonna try to work on some matching of prospects and what they've done in college with how we used guys like Walker, Harris, etc.

PFF Rankings and Snap Counts for top 16 safety prospects (according to TDN rankings)

Solid info.  Thanks for pulling it together.  I guess I will have to dig more on Pitre too.  Some solid S targets that I think will go earlier than some expect.  It looks like Cine in the late 1st or early 2nd would be solid or Joseph/Pitre/Cook in the third would be my desires.  Kerby was a one year wonder so that makes me nervous but kids do develop and it seems like he is figuring it out.

Yeah - he's someone that I've discounted but on closer examination could be a very good fit for what we would want him to do.

I was watching the PFF show Tailgaters (sp?) on YouTube (I'm not PFF exclusive, it was just a positional group rankings and seemed like an interesting topic). Their position is that the Safety group is top heavy and has a pretty solid drop off after maybe 6 guys? I'd have to re-check the names but they don't seem to love this safety group. Pitre is a name that was talked about as one of those guys and he seem to be a fit. So it'll be a cue for a deeper dive.

Seems a lot of sites, PFF included, list Pitre as a CB.  Which jives with him playing a ton in the slot.

This is something that I don't know the answer to and I don't know if we would get a straight answer - are the PFF ratings based on an overall, broad system or position specific? Is a 77 something Rush Defense based on their position as a CB, as a S or as a general defensive player. Because the expectations of a corner in run support vs a box safety aren't the same thing. So if they're calling him a corner then it makes me wonder if he's being treated as a corner or as a defensive back (general).
