Um, because he is the literal GOAT and still was an elite QB this season? 😂

If it has to be for his 20M cap hit, then so be it. Figure out the rest and do what you have to do.

Does he want to win the Superbowl or does he want to get paid?

Does he want us to sign an OL to protect him, or is he just in it for the $$?

So I'll say again, vet min or gtfo lol

Former Broncos’ HC Vic Fangio received, and decided against, multiple offers to become a defensive coordinator for the 2022 season, per league sources. Fangio now is likely to take off this season before returning next year as the most coveted available defensive coordinator.

So say Fangio comes back next season,do we go back to a 3-4 defence?

How does Bosa fit in a 3-4??

Him taking 25M would still means he's taking a big discount. The man just finished 2nd in the MVP race. Come on now.

Ramsey's performance yesterday just showed how difficult it is to really stop these top guys in today's NFL. Teams will spread you out and eliminate the help and these WRs are just too damn good. Chase was running past Ramsey like he was against Thomas. One thing is clear, you can't play off man against that man on go routes. Dude is just DIFFERENT with his acceleration when the ball is in the air. Rams defense is actually built to stop the deep ball and it didn't matter yesterday. On the last 4th down, Burrow had no time but if he did, Chase was going to beat Ramsey again for the game clinching TD.

Doesn't matter how good you are, you will get cooked in this league at some point. Ramsey legit allowed over 160 yards yesterday, over 100 yards vs the Bucs and close to 100 yards against us in week 18. And this guy is the top corner in the league. Sheesh, such a volatile position regardless of the talent lol.

While we’re there, it’s really hard to assess the trade value of Jimmy Garoppolo. The reason? We still don’t know which quarterbacks are going to be available. There’s a good group of suitors out there ready to take a major swing at the position (the Broncos, Eagles, Panthers and Commanders). And the fewer top-end guys—such as Wilson, Watson or Rodgers—are available, the greater Garoppolo’s value will become. So yes, the Niners will be trading him and turning to Trey Lance. But just what he brings back is less certain. (By the way, while we’re there, I wouldn’t put Sam Darnold or Carson Wentz in that category. Neither of those guys played well enough, and both are too costly, for another team to move any sort of real capital to get them. Or at least that’s how I see it.)

Teams need to stop being cowards and give us a first rounder already!

Which is why Cinci's approach to the position was pretty smart.. kind of like the NBA "2nd draft" approach- bring in high talent guys who failed for whatever reason elsewhere & coach them up to fit in your system.

It is just effortless how he runs by guys. Even when I think he's gonna get tackled, he ends up out running three guys for a TD lol.

It's not a bad strategy, kind of like ours if you think about it. No corners in the early rounds and take chances on bargain free agents. But I think we need one BIG TIME talent. Because make no mistake, those players do have huge advantages.

He's special, an all time talent.

Likely an unpopular opinion, but SF should trade for Rodgers.  There's no way Rodgers will voluntarily play in the AFC next year, so this Denver noise is just that, noise.  Having to go through KC, Cincy, Buf, and Tenn as a wild card team in the AFC is not the best path to a championship.  Besides, look at how weakened the NFC will be next year, especially if some key Rams retire as rumored.  Tampa won't be able to retool, GB as well if you acquire Rodgers from them.

San Fran with Rodgers is the unquestioned top NFC team next year.  The trade though is to send them Lance and a 1st, etc.  To justify the move you need a 2-3 year commitment from Rodgers, but if you get it IMO you make that move.  You of course still trade JimmyG elsewhere as well to recoup some assets and make room financially for Rodgers.

We don't have a first rounder in 2022 or 2023 though.

I don't think this opinion will cause an uproar, some are more than fine with Rodgers as QB. It just changes the landscape of the team since everything is budgeted around Lance's rookie deal.
