I lost $600 betting on Fields. Time will tell how this all turns out, but I still would have felt great about Fields; that dude's arm is special.

Ultimately, I broke even. I Had a small bet at +425 on Trey to cover the bigger bet I had made on Fields with N4L earlier in the draft season.

I just hope the bears don't ruin him. Same with Tlaw situation was awful for both. Wilson also I guess but tbh I think right now id rank him last of the 5 QB's right now.

I seem to remember your shower habits costing you some money on this whole deal too.

Regardless of how I felt about Fields' talent in a vacuum, I would 100% bet on that partnership not working out well.

There wasn't a worse spot for any of the Quarterbacks to go than Chicago, imo.

Brutal run out there. Ultimately, it probably wouldn't have mattered. Where I lived at the time to where the casino is wold have taken a longer time than my shower, so ultimately the shower likely just saved me a trip, but yeah...that was 25K lost out on

Hopefully getting Nagy and Pace out of there gives him a chance. That organization was on a terrible trajectory. I don't know how I feel about their new staff, but it's hard to see it being worse than it was.

Not so much his arm, it was his small window accuracy that had me like 'wow'. Just like Lance, he has to tweak his throwing motion/wind up. But his accuracy was effortless in college.

Like @Forge has mentioned, he probably landed in the worst possible spot of all the rookie. Had Fields been our pick, I would think he would have looked much better in his live game reps under Shanny than he did with Nagy.

Agreed. I'm not necessarily calling out his arm strength, but his ability to put the ball anywhere he wants on the field with touch. He's got plenty of arm for sure, but his effortless throwing of the ball with accuracy is crazy impressive.

One thing that kind of stood out to me about Shanahan talking about why he liked Lance, was him mentioning Lance going to the right place with the ball when watching tape. That is definitely important, but also that is something you are supposed to coach up in a player. You can't teach what Fields has imo. Lance can improve his accuracy, which was a concern to me, and I'm happy with him as a player, but I still think I would have taken Fields if it was me.

One thing Lance has going for him is he is still only 21 years old and has a lot of room to grow. If Lance reaches his ceiling, he's going to be a perennial pro bowl player. To me Fields was just the best combo of upside and floor imo.

Hahaha I'm pretty sure we went from Mac to Fields to Lance to Mac about 100 times in a month. Lmao

I may have wavered a bit at one point but I was pretty strong on the Lance train until the end. Guys like Schefty and others did not make it easy with the Jones hype lol.

I was all in on either Lance or Fields, I was so nervous though, all the talk of Mac at 3, which I like Mac, but to give up 2 future 1's for what is essentially Garoppolo, to me anyway, would have been crazy, Lance & Fields to me had/have the highest ceilings from the 2021 QB class.

We could have stayed put at 11 and grabbed Mac, so I kinda doubted it was him

I blame Maiocco and Shefty the most as they talked as if it was a fact.
