If Pickett is there at #11 (or whatever QB they covet)

We send #11 to the Steelers in exchange for

#20 and the Steelers' 2022 5th rounder

and

The Steelers' 2023 1st and 4th rounders

So to make it prettier:

  • Steelers get 2022 1st
  • We get 2022 1st and 5th and 2023 1st and 4th

I would do this in a heartbeat

Lol

I would make that deal, even if Kyle Hamilton was sitting there at 11.

There's no player in this draft, that prevents me from trading down.

Only how far & the compensation with the trade.

Like.....would I trade down to #29, if an additional 3rd, was all I got back.

Heayilllllll naw.....

Where do I sign...

And Call the league office to confirm the trade before the Steelers hang up.

This to me the best outcome we could have extra picks next year would be huge either way if Carson is great we get 2 1st if Carson sucks we get the ammo needed to move up to get a top QB next year like Stroud, Young, or whoever comes out of nowhere.

That’s an absolute no-brainer for me, as I think it is for most of us.

Where it gets dicier is if they refuse to deal next year’s 1st and their best offer is just 20 and 52. I would still do it, but I think that’s a closer call.

I’m with you on that. I don’t see the Steelers giving up next years 1st to move up 9 spots. Especially bc I think they fall back a bit next year. But if they did I would take either trade.

having our first and The steelers next year would be picks that are anywhere between 8-18 im my opinion would be good ammo to move up for one of the top QBs if a team wants to trade down

I may nitpick a little and try to get a 3rd this year (since we traded ours) and maybe drop the 4th to a 5th/6th next year. This year has a lot of "solid" talent, but not a lot of generational talent.

Other than that, I would say getting a 1st next year while keeping a top 20 pick this year is great GM work, which most likely means this will never happen.

Yeah, I want a 3rd this year in there somehow.
