I agree it’s not like he’s gonna have a cataclysmic drop. They’re not going to care about that. Like I said, on the surface they’ll play the part but they’re not going to care. When you’re as talented as Carter things like this don’t impact your draft stock. If he were a mid round prospect it’d be a different story but he’s way too good for this to impact any GMs decision. Can't have your top 5 pick out there hurting himself doing something stupid.
Daimonas
Feel like most of the time players this stupid fail spectacularly down the line, either for themselves or the team that drafts them, at some point. I'm generally on the side of avoiding the headache.

Him having a history of it and actually be arrested over something is more noteworthy than a one off incident. He’ll be pressed on it and how he responds will color how teams think he can handle his business. It’s not so much the thing as it is do they think it’ll reflect forward. As I said, he’s a top 4 pick. One scenario where that doesn’t happen is if teams move up for all these QBs. Which seems like it might be happening independently. Carter having some questions is new, he was the one top guy who didn’t really have any. Does it change how ok the Bears are with taking a trade package from the Raiders, Panthers, or lower? Or does it happen and have nothing to do with him? One of those things that we won’t really know on this side of it, but he left Indy as a result and won’t be having those meetings beyond what he had yesterday. It’s noteworthy, wether or not it has an effect we won’t know. Teams will have two months and probably already were digging into it (edit: appears not), it won’t be a night of gut reaction thing. Jeezla
1 Bijan 2 Charbonnet 3 Achane/Gibbs 5 Spears/Abanikanda 7 McBride How I rank em. Those are the 7 RB's I'd want, but hell no to Bijan in round 1.

Desai might come in and see that as the way to go forward. If the goal is to be versatile and not overly package dependent, going to a more 3-4 base makes sense for a defense that so often likes playing 5-2. You are getting more athletes on the field that way. What’s even better than have 2 pass rushers out of that is being able to continue the platooning to keep those guys fresh. Especially in a draft so rich with guys that can play that more versatile edge backer and a bunch of tall athletic end/3tech types. We are at such a transition point right now, that they could make that switch if they wanted to. And it wouldn’t be out of left field. Wouldn't that switch be dependent on Jordan Davis being able to play for than 10 snaps a game ??
