Yea Doug just did what all the old head coaches did. Starters played very little in week 1 and 2, played a half of week 3, then not at all in week 4. With 3 preseason games, the starters will probably play around a half in week 2? And then just a couple drives in week 1 and 3? My guess anyways. Don't remember if he did the same thing his rookie HC season with us or if he did it a little different being his first year.
