There’s no GM in the league with job security good enough to trade for picks starting 5 years from now. Lebron Westbrook and kyrie could be retired by that point.

That's kind of the point...

That'd be the hope in trading for those picks, that the Lakers aren't very good. Which isn't far fetched as LeBron's career wears down and they have limited draft capital.

Right. But are the nets going to want to wait 5 years down the road for a return on a deal? That’s an eternity in sports.

I'd imagine they get the 2027/2029 firsts. Doesn't seem like a deal is imminent though or like anything happens until if/when they move Durant.

1 first round pick…. Lakers are the only team that wants Kyrie.

Tim MacMahon who covers the Mavs also said that they don’t want anything to do with Kyrie. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Kyrie and James don’t hate each other lol. Was he unhappy that he wouldn’t get vaccinated which forced him to consider his future there? Sure. But he was fell out with Steve Nash. Had no issues playing with him on the court though and they did get along. Now they’re not buddy-buddy like Russ/Harden but there this tension between them that people think. People gotta remember back at the time of the trade, there was no sign or certainty at the time of when the mandate would be lifted.
