Too often in this league, and with this "microwave society" we live in, we anointe players as "Great" or "Such a game changer." Before they ever peak.

All of this is based on potential, but with all of this instant gratification that this generation is raised in, it comes as no surprise.

The sad truth is that, one, they miss one of the best parts of success, which is the anticipation that one experiences during the rise to success and two, looking back on the trials and adversity said player overcame to achieve that success.

What we are ultimately left with, and again, probably to quick to judge is the label "BUST."

It doesn’t help the team has an offensive coordinator who can’t seem to figure out how to scheme his guys open, or really do anything.

Agreed, but the same logic applies here as well. Wasn't only a year or two ago everyone was talking about our OC getting a HC job and how we cannot lose him?

One play, one game or one season does not "greatness" make.
