Tyler Smith did look nice for his first start.

Still think he, Gallup and Amari would’ve looked sick rocking 10/13/19 in trips and bunch sets. How quickly things change

I called out bad play during the game. That's my proof. Where is yours other than saying you guys don't watch the game. That's what some people say on the political spectrum. They make a statement and can't back it up. Edited September 12, 2022 by chumpy
Nextyearfordaboyz
To be an optimist: Micah Parson - Maybe the best defensive player in football? Trevon Diggs - Excellent Tyler Smith - Not a bad start! BRETT - THE TRIPLE THREAT Everything else is pretty bleak.
Dallas94Ware
@DaBoys @plan9misfit On the talk of Lamb in 88. It isnt like he is not talented enough to wear that 88, nor undeserving. This kid has the makings of an electric, high volume, high YAC receiver. Problems I saw on Sunday were not so much with his ability, but more so problems with playcalling, execution, and just simply not being ready for gameday - and much of that is on the staff. When you are fielding 6th round selections and UDFAs at receiver, your top guy is going to have backers, safeties, and slot corners rolled his way. You counter that with underneath routes with that top receiver a total decoy flying out deep and lifting the rolled coverage away from the underneath guy. When your top guy is struggling to beat the press (and Lamb is a slighter frame, or course he will struggle there) you run RIGHT AT HIM and let Lamb get that good block on a press corner until he backs off in fear of getting beat on toss again. Or you run bunch sets and do some chip routes and other designs meant to break up press coverage. What do you NOT do? Keep throwing the ball his way when he is clearly being bagged and tagged by the defense every which way. You certainly dont NOT change what you are doing. It isnt all on the staff, I mean Lamb needs to be better prepared to get jostled around as the lead guy. He needs.to keep his eyes up the field on his routes and on the ball when he is securing a catch. He needed to adjust better on that slant when the safety drifted inward, and take it shallower allowing him to separate. He definitely was to blame on a couple misses his way, too. But it is not like the staff put him in a position to excel, either.

He has done more of a disservice to our Olinemen over the last few years than he has been of service. this entire Offensive Coaching staff is very subpar IMO. Lacks accountability, lacks teaching of technique, lacks in play design and creativity, lacks in teaching basic fundamentals, lacks in play calling. Too often in this league, and with this "microwave society" we live in, we anointe players as "Great" or "Such a game changer." Before they ever peak. All of this is based on potential, but with all of this instant gratification that this generation is raised in, it comes as no surprise. The sad truth is that, one, they miss one of the best parts of success, which is the anticipation that one experiences during the rise to success and two, looking back on the trials and adversity said player overcame to achieve that success. What we are ultimately left with, and again, probably to quick to judge is the label "BUST."
