Teams are not respecting our passing game and run blitzing and overloading the box relatively often, so there’s really only so much that can be done unless our QB starts playing and spreading the ball around I feel. Against the Steelers we ran on a couple of first downs when there were 8 defenders in the box I counted. It takes some pretty exceptional blocking to do anything then. Now, not saying the blocking can’t get better, it can obviously, but it’s a scenario that requires a few areas of improvements I think, in Playcalling or audibles out of run or into run, in QB play and in blocking too, accuracy and not missing assignments. Garoppolo has to get his act together, he’s not a great QB but he’s better than he’s playing. Why is he not audibling out of a stacked box?
