Went and looked at DVOA and all I got out of it is there's a lot of bad defense being played in the NFL

Nobody looks at one source of data to make your whole assessment on. 

 

It’s like saying the economy is good because unemployment is down. You should get correlating evidence .

any other means of assessment is simply a much, much much smaller subset of DVOA.

There were guys open all night. 19/21 by the end of the 3rd by my count. Props to the D on holding him to 2/12 in the 4th, but most of that was last drive desperation throws.
