The thing is that if Najee goes down with say an ACL tear tomorrow…*knocks on wood*…there’s plenty of decent options.

Hunt/Zeke/Cook/Fournette…all guys that can handle 200 touches and not have to try solely on Warren…with some issues nevertheless.

That’s why I’d just go out and re-sign Snell as @Dcash4said to be the #3. If Najee gets hurt, we go out and get one of those guys you mentioned. I’d say there will be guys available throughout the season with the way the RB spot has been devalued. Snell gives us a ST guy, which none of those guys provide.

I hope so. I think me and you might be the only Ant fans left on the planet haha

I just think he provides something completely different than Warren and Najee, which is what you want out of your RB3. People forget how good he looked in preseason last year and the TC reports backed it up. His vision and ability to break tackles was night and day from previous years. Just needs to keep himself healthy.

I would be fine with Snell too. His value on ST is well documented. And while I think he’s a horrible “change of pace” or situational short yardage guy, I think he can do some decent thinks in a pinch if you need to give him the full workload for a game or two, especially behind an improved o-line.

Random, and I know this will be an unpopular opinion but after re-watching a handful of games from the 2nd half of last year (Atlanta, @ Baltimore, Carolina, Vegas) I think James Pierre might have been our most underrated player last season. I know everyone is excited about Cory Trice, but I think he’ll really have to make a splash in preseason to beat out Pierre for a spot on the 53. That will be a fun battle for the 5th CB spot between Trice and Pierre. Maybe they try stashing Trice on the PS for a year or just keep 6 corners (I’m counting Peterson, JPJ, Wallace, Sullivan/TBD slot guy as locks).

I am keeping my eye on Kwon Alexander. He came in for a visit in May, is still unsigned, and our depth at LB is scary. No one is talking about him right now but I would not be shocked to see him sign here soon, especially considering we have already done our due diligence.
