Not sure.  Jefferson gets open.  Pittman is a contested ball catcher.

I would push back and say he’s more than that. He’s an underrated route runner. Most of his production came off RPOs and short passes last year. Guys who “can’t get open” or “contested catch specialists” do not typically finish top 10 in targets like Pittman did last year. He was the engine of their offense.

With that being said, Pittman and Jefferson would be an incredible WR duo. But how pass heavy will they be with Richardson at QB?

Because they have a real lack of talent at WR.  The others have problems getting separation.

Bears leaking reports they are keeping Fields and trading the pick. Smart move.

Absolutely what they should do, build a foundation. They could end up with multiple premium picks in the next two drafts. I see the experts allude to this being a very good QB class, but I don’t really see a can’t miss prospect. How can you totally judge a young QB without putting a foundation around him? Same goes for Pickett…

The deeper we get into this off-season, the more I believe that if the cost is a 2nd and some change, we need to make the move for Fields. The pros far and away outpace the cons, IMO, and it's such a unique opportunity.  You don't get players as talented as he is at that position in the 2nd and the Bears wouldn't be trading him if it wasn't for the fact that they own the Panthers #1 overall pick.

I don't know if anyone realizes (or care for that matter), but TJ Watt turns 30 this season. The "build it and QB will come" model has a price to pay. If we build this team to pay any price for QB next year, you are probably talking 2-3 more years until that guy is a dude in the league. You are also talking about the situation that most blame for getting us into Kenny in the first place: setting sights on QB and not wavering because of need.

I just see Fields as our best opportunity at a middle ground -- picks, cash, and talent.

I’m going to add: we have a path to $40+MM in cap space and FA has a potential to be deep at some need positions of S, C, CB, LB.

That’s my thing…even if they went all in and got somebody…At best your looking at year 2 to make a serious run.

Watt will be in final year of deal in 2025. Minkah going into 2nd on final year.

I know they won’t do it but there’s plenty of quality OGs available…moving Daniels over to center starting now wouldnt Be a. Bad idea.

Sounds like Fields will be traded and it could happen sooner rather than later.

New England is my new team I’m worried about. They could trade for Fields and take MHJ at #3 and immediately have a more explosive offense than they’ve had in a long time.

And they have massive amounts of cap space.

jonnu smith will be available

might be on the radar due to the Smith connection.

Brought that up when Smith was hired.  Heyward to FB, Smith and Washington as inline TE’s, Muth as a flex/move TE.
